Improperly Inspected Baby Causes Evacuation Of Newark Airport Terminal

What's with the War on Kids the past week?

"Out of the mouths of babes..."
Here is yet another instance of TSA's gross incompetance. WTF were they doing sending a stroller through a WTMD. Don't the doofuses know that strollers will ALWAYS set off the metal detectors??? Like, duh!!! (Incompetance clue #1) Then they let the mom, who had obviously not yet been cleared if she was pushing the stroller, hand off the baby to the dad. This is a clear violation of the SOP (based on their justification for harrassing the 4-year-old who hugged grandma). (Incompetance clue #2) Then they wait a full 30 minutes before notifying authorities of the "breach." (Incompetance clue #3) There was probably a lot more incompetance going on than what I just pointed out, but we don't know enough of the gorey details, and we probably never will as they like to keep those things "SSI."

If they had any intelligence at all they wouldn't be doing that job. That is what is so hopeless about this situation. Stupid people following even stupider procedures, and yet we think the outcomes will change someday.

Finger pointing between TSA & the Port Authority regarding who is responsible for the breach ...

Sounds like both TSA and Port Authority police acted like morons.

This is the 14th such terminal dump in the past 4 months.

Every time one of these happens (and, of course, they're only going to become more frequent), I laugh my (expletive deleted) off. Since sexual assault and child molestation don't seem to be waking the masses, maybe missing their flights will.

Bingo. We need more of this, not less. And TSA, bless their hearts, will give us everything we need and more. They just LOOOOVE knotting that ol' rope...

    Breach of sanity, more like.

These Terrorist Babies must be stopped!

I wonder what size gun in a teddy bear this Terrorist Baby was able to hand off to the dad?

I shudder to think what would happen if a real bomb were found in the terminal.

The Port Authority and TSA have had ten years -- a whole decade -- to coordinate their plans. Heck, as the TSA apologists would say, this was one of the 9/11 airports!

How many minutes of flight delays have accrued in all these incidents at Newark?

And where did Dad hide the gun, so Osama bin Michael Corleone could get it later? I'm sure the terminal wasn't thoroughly searched, only the passengers re-searched.

Because no one would ever leave a weapon or explosive for later use. They would carry it so it could be found during the re-screen. I'm sure glad TSA and the stupid airport cops have our backs.

Just goes to show that TSA members are all thieves ---- they steal their salaries from us for services not provided.

I had to look that one up. God bless Google (or whatever search engine people prefer). I was afraid it might be some cultural reference of which I was unaware (there are so many) and I'd look like a dork for not knowing it (as often happens).

Boing Boing: Newark Terminal C evacuated because TSA forgot to screen a tiny baby

We should all be so afraid. We have no idea what mayhem might result when that evil kid surfaces.

Mockery and ridicule are increasingly the best tools.

They'd be even better if the dolts working for the TSA understood they were being mocked - and why.

Now if we could just add economic shunning.

Economic is the only shunning likely to have any effect on TSA employees. They're all sociopaths, so social shunning isn't likely to even be noticed by them.

Actually, I meant for the public at large. To get our message across to regular people.

But I'm sure they will notice when their kids are going to bed hungry, dirty, and unable to do their homework because no one will sell them food or turn on their utilities.

I'm sure they'd notice, but they'd also likely never understand the reasoning behind why the general public considers them to be a complete waste of amino acids, trace elements, and quite a bit of otherwise usable water.
