:) It's just the reflection of the camera flash. He's really quite adorable! (And RadioGirl, he's also honest and loyal. With a purr as big as the great outdoors. Since research has shown that a cat's purr calms people down, we could broadcast it to the nation as a public service!)

Well, if Gingrich can get away with it, why not Bennie? I think Bennie looks more trustworthy.

Have the diplomatic protocols been worked out for hairballs?

Here's a close-up, though lighting not the best. You can't quite see the teeny-tiny white patch on his mouth that I think looks like two little buck teeth:

Well, he is a natty dresser, in spite of the buck teeth.

Yikes, that photo was detailed enough for my allergies to kick in! I'm still going with Ron Paul first, but Bennie is a solid second choice. All those whiskers look very (19th century) presidential.

(Apologies to nachtnebel for hijacking this thread. What were we talking about? :D )

You would have enjoyed the Festival of St. Efigenia. Unfortunately animal rights wackos have infiltrated even South American and forced them to change the menu.

There was an outbreak of Feline spongiform encephalopathy in Europe several years ago and the Swiss Veterinary Association was advising people not to eat cats. (They also warned cat owners to watch for signs suggesting damage to the cat's central nervous system. Whatever.) Those wacky Swiss.

Me, I love cats, but I can never eat a whole one. ;) (Just kidding, Sunny and Lisa; if we can agree to disagree about Ron Paul I'm sure we can do the same about cats. :)

Nachtnebel, as I said in post # (a lot of posts ago...) I don't like cats either because they KNOW I'm allergic and they throw cat cooties at me from across the room until I can't breathe, but even with that I'd take Bennie over Obama, Gingrich, Romney etc. I'd prefer to vote for one of my rabbits but they're not American so they're not eligible. Also, the smarter one isn't yet 40 in rabbit-years.

Believe it or not, the Swiss DO eat cats (and dogs). Cats reportedly are known as "roof rabbits" in parts of Europe. :D

agree. I'd never do this to our four pawed friends, but wrt those cats running for election and wanting to destroy what's left of the USA, I'm thinking burlap sack, rope, river.

    are you Swiss?

I've had horsemeat, no problem with that, just like beef only tougher and more bland. I'd have to be a lot hungrier than I've ever been (and yes, I've been without food for 5 or 6 days before, in my younger explorer days) to go chomping on felis catus or canis poochus. There's all that hair to contend with....

I guess if the Swiss issued a warning, there must be some reason. "Roof rabbits" - LOL! :D

As an alternative, please consider a dog. She's very hard-working, cooperative and presidential looking. Besides, she'd be the first female president.

PS: The child would be a good choice too. Please note that the child's hand is empty. The dog works anyway. Ponder that!

Welcome to my world. They never stop. OK, sometimes they stop. They have two settings: ON & OFF.
