So much for special treatment of kids. This is the same week that they assaulted and robbed two elderly people who they also say they're treating special. I guess the PreCheck elite are in for a surprise when they get special treatment.

I saw this already today. I have already sent emails to Senators Roberts and Moran, Representative Yoder and even a direct email address for one of Yoder's district reps.

This example just goes to show that no matter what the TSA claims they are trying to do to improve, the low quality employees and the mentality bred in the TSA will continue to directly assault American's rights, values, and even common decency. Life imprisonment in Soviet style gulag prison camp would be too good for many TSA employees.

yup but how much you want to bet the talking asspieces in TSA PR will defend it, and that the ASSes will get "retrained" and not terminated. Perverts!

 

There's no way they can defend it. I can spot at least 3 SOP violations if the account is accurate. If they were at my airport, I'm pretty sure they'd get a suspension if not fired altogether.

 

That's the entirety of the TSA. Not just the PR sockpuppets.

 

I'm glad your airport is better, but how many of these incidents will it take to convince you that the problem is not isolated screw ups but instead deeply rooted systemic dysfunction that leads to TSA child molestation, elder abuse and strip searches, routine ADA violations, rampant theft, willful employment of hardened criminals, and so on, and so on?

 

Isn't it funny how every TSA employee who gets on the internet works at an airport where these problems never happen?

 

No, I got lucky with this airport, it's small and has very low through put. It's amazingly boring and so the management micromanages. One guy got suspended for 2 weeks for not running a pen through the x-ray. No joke.

I was at BNA before this, and apparently there was a chick there that got busted for meth. And I used to work at Boston Logan as well, plenty of (expletive deleted) incidences there.

 

I think the simple answer is that some people are shitbags, and sometimes shitbags get hired. I had the same(if not worse) experience in the military, and in civilian jobs as well. Perhaps there should be an internal affairs bureau for corruption and criminal activity like the police have.

 

That would be a start but even internal affairs investigations are suspect. Witness the criticism of GSA and the Secret Service. Both are or were conducting internal investigations and both will likely face a Congressional investigation.

TSA and all agencies, federal, state and local need to be investigated by an independent third party body that is measured on its conviction rate. As it stands there still is no one guarding the guards.

A better start would be the immediate termination of the entire checkpoint staff on any shift where one of them is caught stealing or abusing the passengers in any way unless turned in by one of their co-workers.

 

That could work with private screeners, won't work with direct government employment where constitutional guarantees apply.

Even with private screeners, there would be substantial risk of defamation suits in such a case.

That's a misstatement of the situation.

Constitutional guarantees are limitations on what government can do, not on what private citizens & corporations can do.
