This will probably be my last post on Pixiq. I say probably because if a big story breaks before midnight Sunday, there is a good chance I will post it here.
Otherwise, all future articles will appear on my site that can be accessed through and
Those links are currently redirecting to Pixiq, but that will stop as of midnight tonight.
The content I wrote for Pixiq can still be viewed by accessing Pixiq, but it will also be migrated to my site.
I’m hoping to have the new site up by Monday, but that might be wishful thinking considering these moves never happen smoothly, so maybe Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I am opening up PINAC to new writers and already have a few writers working on pieces now.
At this point, there will be no pay for writers but you will be published in a nationally renowned blog that is only going to get more popular.
However, I am going to be picky about the writing. I’m looking for journalistic writing with a flair for details and a dash of sarcasm. Nothing too wordy yet nothing too vague.
If you’re interested, and haven’t done so already, send me an email to with the subject heading “PINAC Writer.” It’s very important you do it this way or else I will lose track of you.
Send me writing samples if you have any. And let me know if you have any story ideas.
If you have already sent an email, I have you on record and will be getting in touch with you if I already haven’t.
I am parting with Pixiq on amiable terms. The reason they decided to terminate my contract was because we both have very different visions as to what my site should entail.
But they’ve remained extremely patient and professional until the very end, allowing me to continue posting here almost a month past the original September 16 termination date to allow us to sort out the issue with the comments.
The plan is they will migrate my blog on Monday, then send out emails to my readers asking if they would mind having their comments migrated.
If the readers don’t respond to the email within a specified date, then the comments will get migrated.
The entire blog with comments should be fully migrated by November 2.
It was a great honor receiving monthly checks from Barnes and Noble because of my blog. And it was a great honor when they approached me two years ago offering to pay me for my content.
It’s not often a blogger gets approached by a major publisher offering to pay for their content. And for two years, they pretty much allowed me to write my blog without any interference.
Yes, there was that one incident where they deleted a post but that was more than a year ago and it was mostly a misunderstanding from an editor who is no longer here.
And during those two years, which I accumulated more than 5.4 million page views, my readership doubled in size, so I have absolutely no regrets in signing on with Pixiq.
But I also have no regrets in moving on.
Because of the controversial nature of this site, I need to remain as independent as possible, which means I need to figure out new ways to get paid.
One of the things I will be doing is launching a merchandise line under the name, PINAC Nation.
The above design, created by Miami artist GWIZ aka Jorge Viera, is one of several that will be sold on t-shirts and stickers.
So the future is bright for PINAC. I plan to make it more interactive with readers, making it more about the community and the cause than just about me writing articles. I will elaborate in my introduction post of the new site.
In the meantime, I will bow out politely, thanking Pixiq for giving me the opportunity to write for them for two years.
And I will celebrate the fact that I went out on top with the most page views of all writers over the last 30 days.

Please send stories, tips and videos to
I am immersed in a legal case where I not only want to clear my criminal charges stemming from my arrest in January, but I want to sue the Miami-Dade Police Department for deleting my footage, which I was able to recover.
My goal is to set some type of precedent to ensure this does not happen as often as it does today where cops simply get away with it.
