Not TSA abuse, per se, but rather a way to avoid it: PlaneRed is a startup flying 14 pax corporate jets configured for 9 pax, which is less than the 10 where TSA would step in. Sounds like a domestic EOS. They promise a subscription service of $150 month where you can avoid the TSA. Interesting concept. They say that if enough people sign up they can launch. Initial service will be along the East Coast, with expansion in the plans should the concept prove successful. I, for one, will do all I can to support these guys. My current plan is to get my pilot's license and find a way to either purchase or rent my own aircraft. With PlaneRed I wouldn't have to. discuss...
it looks like my business may start requiring me to fly to a few spots at some point. I'd pay triple or more to fly one of these small airlines and bypass TSA, especially if they let me bring my own parachute.
