No Hands In Pockets!

    Went through my local safe checkpoint, and as I passed through the WTMD I was stopped: for having one hand in my pocket, which is apparently prohibited. I had to re-enter the WTMD while showing my hands.

    It makes me wonder if the A.S.S. invented that foolishness herself, or if that seriously comes from above.

    They're afraid you might be smuggling cupcakes by hiding them between your palms & your hips. Anything worth hiding is probably worth stealing.

    I get this often. Just remember when you remove your hand from the pocket, have your middle finger extended. It really ticks them off.

    "Please sir, for your safety and the safety of others, only a TSA Screener's hand maybe be placed inside your pants and it's pockets."

    Reason: While the machines can scan through your clothes they cannot accurately scan your hands when they are inside the cloth pockets.
    *cough*:rolleyes:

    And accompany it with "Hey, you. Yeah you. I got somethin' for ya. Now...now where'd I put it..." And act like you're fishing around in your pocket. Then pull your hand out, middle finger raised, and say "There it is!"

    Come to think of it, that would make a nice Tee Shirt. A hand flipping the bird, and a caption under reading;
    TSA IS #1.

    It was even more stupid because it was a WTMD rather than an NoS. A WTMD will alarm for metal in my hand, in my (expletive deleted), or anywhere else it might be. Think of all the people with surgically-implanted medical devices that complain they can't go through the WTMD anymore -- and somehow, my hand is going to defy the laws of physics and block magnetic fields. :rolleyes:

    I would safely say that laws of every kind /have and are broken by TSA.
    Science of every flavor from physics and chemistry to medical, Logic, Social, Legal....
