Seems our neighbors to the north are getting on board the police state by surveilling people who travel through Ottawa airport .

Not sure why it is important to note that the audio isn't turned on right now since the intent is clear. I think any concept of privacy is has been completely removed from modern day activities.

The article also suggests that it will include some areas not considered "customs" areas by most people.

Coming soon (if not already) to an airport near you?

bathrooms, food courts? everywhere in the airport?

what exactly do they hope to interdict and exactly how harmful is it? you would think this would be justified if they wanted to locate severely dangerous weapons, but I think that is not the case. Compare this to the damage to society to putting everything under surveillance...

Sorry, I had done a search for "Ottawa" and nothing came up, so I thought nobody else had posted this. I now realize I must've typed in "Ottowa" instead.
