Michael S. Roberts, a pilot for United Express carrier ExpressJet Airlines, Inc. (Continental Express at the time of The Incident) was barred access to MEM while en route to his base at IAH on October 15, 2010. His crime? He denied employees of the Terrorist Support Agency the ability to peek under his clothes using Whole Body Imaging equipment. When they demanded a groping feel up of his body, he balked.

So he was denied access to the terminal at MEM, missed his flight to IAH so as to report for duty and support his family, and was subsequently suspended from work pending investigation (he has since resumed flying for ExpressJet). His story may be found in his post over on a board for ExpressJet pilots.

Since then Patriot Roberts has become a passionate advocate against the Terrorist Support Agency's new and "improved" :td: scope and grope policies. He maintains a blog detailing new FedGov abuse at FedUpFlyers.org, and was a panelist on EPIC's "The Stripping of Freedom" conference.

He is currently party to a suit brought against TSA's abusive scope and grope procedures with help from EPIC.
