My Fox Phoenix: Personal Banking Info Stolen from PHX TSA Employees

Apparently someone used a device to "skim" credit/debit card info & drain their bank accounts. At this point it's a crime against TSA agents rather than one perpetrated by them, but ... any bets as to whether this was done by one of their own? :D

It will be interesting to see who ends up arrested for this. :)

TSA on TSA theft. Does that make arrest more likely? Or on quietly to the next opportunity?

As someone who has had to clean up from an identity theft issue, let me tell you, it is no picnic. I do feel kind of sorry for them.

And then I remember how many times I've had my testicles fondled, with my consent, of course.

Interesting. Amazing that the BDOs didn't pick up the person skimming!!

Good. Screw 'em. I hope they lose their homes and have to go live under a bridge, with all the implied outcomes it entails.

The perp might have been a BDO saving money for graduate school.

BDO's would have trouble finding an elephant while standing in the middle of an elephant stampede.

When I first read "BDO" I thought of "Building Department Official", and with it many unpleasant connotations to a previous non-flying life in SF.

What all has been done with my stolen identity I don't still know, since I'm not getting all of my mail. (But I did think it curious that at least one fraudulent account didn't show up on my credit file). Maybe an inside job? My info has been used as a front for robbing others and the shipping carrier won't press charges. Goodness knows if I received the funds I'd be paying my bills easier, jobless whistleblower refugee that I am!

Like the graduate school line. Too funny!

The comment startled me, since I've been told nearly the same thing, after I lost my job because I made some semblance of following rules in an outlaw town. But it's nice to know meanspritedness out of all proportion isn't just my imagination.
What the TSO did to me was criminal, and I'm trying to press charges accordingly, but I would NOT paint that as a broad brush across everything/everyone at a checkpoint, much as I agree we should not be assumed to be terrorists, nor scoped or groped; it was a crime made possible by cover of dubious authotitah, chaos, and power. It occurs to me, I wonder if the TSOs that were robbed at PHX happened to be the more honest/professional ones (vs the BDOs), or a rival gang?
