Loved the comments - not one of which supported the TSA! It's great that this agency has such an uncanny ability to make themselves look like a**hats just about 100% of the time. :D

Fortunately for them, one doesn't have to work at what comes naturally.

Am I the only one who notices that we now have "TSA is a total screw off" articles coming weekly?

    Nope, the tide is turning.

At the same time TSA seems to have put a bit of damper on the Stupid -- there are far fewer examples showing up in the media. I used to be able to spend 2-3 hours a day googling & posting stuff. Now I can cover a couple days in 20-30 minutes.

TSA has kept VIPR (one of their biggest PR liabilities) completely out of the news since July.

Wasn't that Denver "Terror demo scenario" thing supposed to involve VIPR though?

How aobut if you research it & answer your own question?

VIPR involves sending squads of goons (including a good helping of blug-shirted thugs) out into a community to harass people. The Denver operation was a much larger disaster simulation.

Why in god's name do they always rescreen everyone? I will never understand this. One person opens the wrong door, and 300 people have to be rescreened?? This agency is such a monumental fustercluck, it defies imagination.

Standard TSA show of farce. They never waste an opportunity to demonstrate their ineffectiveness and stupidity. Only the sheeple think it means they're demonstrating an "Abundance of Caution."

Indeed, it gives them a second chance to find additional prohibited items.

Of course, with a near-100% failure rate, having missed any items on the first go-round, they are likely to miss them in a rescreening.

I'm waiting for the day a terminal dump of ATL or ORD comes. Air travel will shut down that day.
