He doesn't actually state that qualified independent researchers have performed valid scientific studies on the TSA's Backscatter Xray Equipment. I think that ommission is critical. He's covering his tracks.
More and more I'm concluding that the Xray Backscatter Equipment must be far more dangerous than anyone outside the TSA and Rapiscan suspects.

He's a criminal. He should be prosecuted.
  3. I'd like to know about that spot on the website where the machines testing and "safety validation" are posted. Don't have time to look for it right now. I'm willing to bet it's not very convincing.

Something I didn't see anywhere. When "Pissy" travels, does *he* go through the radiation generators?

He made a big show several months ago -- or maybe it was last year around Thanksgiving, can't remember -- of going through security, supposedly getting the same treatment all the little people get. It's meaningless theater, just like the TSA in general.

He does, however, have a wife and two daughters. What kind of person thinks it's okay that his wife and daughters might get the treatment so many others here have gotten?? Then again, I'm sure they don't get that treatment. One look at their names on their ID, and zip -- I bet they go right on through. No strip-search, no molestation.

Either that or they're like Arthur Mitchell's family on "Dexter." So terrified of him that they'll do whatever he says without question because the alternative is so much worse.

I know some of you have already seen this, from back in July. For those who haven't:

Question: What kind of a man knowingly surrenders his own daughter to one of us government workers to be molested, standing by passively even as her private parts are fondled while she screams “Daddy Daddy, please help me!”

    Answer: an American man.

I speak only to you men when I say you gutless cowards will be lining up to hand over your wives and daughters in our airports, it will happen hundreds of time each day across our USA. You had better start explaining to your children that we government employees are allowed to touch their private parts whenever we want; it will make the whole thing a lot less dramatic. Seriously, the 1st time is always the worst. The next time you get molested will not feel as disturbing as we accommodate you to our abuses.

The word "misleads" is totally out of place. Pistole is a sorry (expletive deleted) liar who has subverted the United States Constitution that he took an oath to defend.

Only one place fit for him and that is the Super Max for life!

I want to do everything that I can to reassure those people that these machines are as safe as possible

This statement doesn't exactly quell my concerns.

    Yikes.

But yeah, it could be like that.

My sense is that Mr. Pistole has set a very low standard for public safety. Can't prove it, but it's what I'm gleaning from what he says and does, and what he doesn't say and do. Sparse evidence I admit, but I've got a feeling nobody is going to be happy with Pistole when they find out just how much risk he's willing to subject the rest of us to in the name of security theater.

Put another way: I simply don't trust John Pistole.

Except that someday they will when he is no longer in that position. Remember the Don Rumsfeld pat down photos? He helped create this beast and now it turns on him too.

It seems to be some mental fog that comes over folks in DC, they forget that their actions will have subsequent repercussions, if not for them, then their children and grandchildren. Unless this policy is changed, some day his kids or grandkids will be getting groped by the next generation TSA thug and he will be powerless to do anything about it.

Sorry, boogie dog, but I'm going to have to disagree with you this time.
The only place fit for him is a six-foot hole!

I completely agree with you -- on all counts.

I know I shouldn't care at all about this, but I do.... I firmly believe that these machines are unsafe, and there are thousands of TSA agents working around these machines for hours on end. How long will it take for cancer clusters to appear? Clusters that can't be explained by anything else? Once these people start developing cancers, they're going to sue the government. And they're going to lose. Our government does not have a great history on compensating the people they experiment on.

And that is the kind of person that Pistole is - he's okay with risking the general public and the people who work for him in order to give the illusion that he's protecting us from terrorists.

I'd feel more reassured if he were designing electric chairs.

I considered that option but in my opinion being in the Super Max would be a far greater punishment. Locked up for life, 1 hour each day outside of a small cell, prison food, and cut off from the world. Na, keep him breathing.

Naahh, I want him in with the general population. That way he can interact with the same anti-social personality disorders he's unleashed on the unsuspecting American public. Day after day of never-ending mindless drama, hair-trigger tempers, violent outbursts and random violence coupled with exploitive, abusive social connections in every direction. He thinks the cr@p his thugs dish out is good enough for the rest of us; let him wallow in it 24/7.
