Here's an update on this story.

Not only are they chasing ghosts, but they're chasing stupid ghosts.

    Oh, and this:

is possibly one of the most frightening sentences to me today. I have zero control over this situation, and it's at the whim of irrational people responding to nutters. And what does "rescreened" mean? I sure as sh*t am not going to be groped or zapped in this situation. No way. No how.

Stupid people chasing stupid ghosts. The passengers had already been screened by the TSA on boarding. What's the point in screening them again ON ARRIVAL?

Intimidation with the hope that that terrorists among them will "out" themselves.

Every incident of this kind for the past however-many years, including all the hysterical diversions around 9/11/2011, have included re-screening everyone. A chilling feature I've noticed over and over again.

So not only are you subject to groping, stripping, and unwarranted search and seizure before you get on the plane, you are subject to it afterwards as well, depending on how stupid your fellow passengers or security overlords are. We have no rights at the airport.

And yet every one,, has turned up nothing.

    Epic Fail.

Stupid. If they've got an actual terrorist on a plane with an actual bomb, what's the terrorist going to do as soon as the aircraft deviates from planned course, or begins descent earlier than planned?

    No, really?

Yes, you do. The challenge in the current environment is how to assert them.

So, if people start planting dozens of fake "threats" how long will it take to disable the entire system? It will be virtually impossible to track down this perpetrator if the flight was chosen at a random. Anyone who has an axe to grind with their boss, spouse, neighbor, etc. can easily trigger a false alarm or even do openly his via the See Something program.

p.s. I just noticed the initials of the See Something Say Something program (SSSS) designate secondary screening. Ugh.
