We can really appreciate our Bill of Rights when we see how far the British have sunk in this area ...

UK Telegraph: Police may be arresting marginal terror suspects to clear decks for Olympics says watchdog

Sounds like they are rounding up people with radical ideas for questioning ...

And restricting the freedom of movement of others ...

What transpired in Chicago wasn't much better, but at least those people have a good chance of getting some eventual satisfaction through the courts. In the UK, which abandoned all pretext of constitutional government in favor of parliamentary supremacy over a century ago, there's little chance of that.

So a "suspect" is someone who might be involved in terrorism. Or they might not be. Their status is unknown.

"Marginal" would suggest that the status of what is being described as "marginal" is just barely within the bounds of its criteria.

So they're arresting people who "might might be" involved, on some level, in terrorism?

Jumpin' Jesus on a pogo stick, what do you have to do to qualify for that list? Answer a terrorist-related question correctly on Final Jeopardy?

Join a forum like TUG or take a stand for Jesus, motherhood marmite & apple pie and spotted dick, not necessarily in that order.

It took me a while to recall that one. I ran across an article on spotted dick ~ ten years ago & printed it & posted it in our lab. People did a double take until they realized what it was.

Personally, I'd much rather have spotted dick than any Biden (Joe, spotted or clear).
