We hold our employees to the highest standards, blah blah blah.

One of them is now six rounds ahead in his firearms training, now probably fully qualified for the day when they arm the Smurfchen at his airport.

Do we know what airport they worked at?

    Not to mention:
So basically, people behaving like assholes is considered acceptable. How depressing.

Any bets that they'll be back in action at PBI sometime next week?

This incident occurred less than one mile from my home, and at the time they were arrested I was half a mile from them. They weren't even shooting towards the ocean -- they shot a building to the south of them.

Thank you, TSA employees, for putting me in danger not only in the airports via your failed scanners, but by actually shooting up my neighborhood.

Not "acceptable" -- just wouldn't be news. People come here to party and get drunk all the time. It just takes a special kind of (expletive deleted) to go around shooting a gun.

Throwing furniture out windows? Destroying hotel rooms? That's not "partying and getting drunk."

I was just there a month ago and Collins St. is still pretty wild and seedy in some parts of SoBe.

The attraction is the night life and tolerance by LE of the party atmosphere. Much like Bourbon Street or Duval in Key West.

As Jon said, it takes a real idiot to get themselves arrested. Not surprisingly there wasn't one, but two TSA workers up to the task.

It's not my style, but if they were willing to pay for the damage, no one would care. Everyone's right to be an (expletive deleted) is guaranteed here on the Beach, so long as you're not endangering others. Why they crossed that line, I don't know.

    Today's conversation at the checkpoint:

KindaCuteTSO: Ohh I like your hair. [It's blue.]
Jon: Thank you, it matches your uniform.
KindaCuteTSO: I'd love to get it too, but they don't allow it. Everything we do [mocking tone] has to be professional for the public.
Jon: That *is* the TSA's motto, after all. Well, except the two of your co-workers who shot up South Beach a few nights ago.
    KindaCuteTSO: *giggles and walks away*

OOooohhh, so SoBe must be the "nude beach" you've mentioned in another thread, right?? ;)

There's a nude beach about 5 miles north of South Beach.

When are you coming to visit? ;)

When this Nude-O-Scope 'n Grope madness at the checkpoints finally stops! (IOW, don't hold your breath)
