Poor planning may have led to underused TSA scanners

    Another example of TSA's haphazard approach to deploying multimillion dollar systems without proper approval or vetting.

    Shoot! (I hope that's not considered a cuss-word) It seems to me that they OVERUTILIZED the darn things at every airport in which they were deployed.

    I was thinking essentially the same thing -- "better" planning would have led to more missed weapons & false positives. :rolleyes:

    I think the Strip Search Machines are devices looking for a purpose. Certainly not needed for screening in airports.
