Step #1 is learning to read. Step #2 is learning to read for comprehension. They're still working on #1.

    Clearly.

So, me being...well, me...I'm not in any actual legal hot water over this, am I? I mean, I think I made it clear enough in my initial letter that I wasn't the traveler involved here.

No, CW, no one in their right mind would accuse you of misrepresenting yourself, ...except..., ...maybe..., ...someone from DHS/TSA.
Don't worry, though, I'm sure PTravel will be glad to represent you...:D

No worries on the legal issues. For one, no sitting politician is going to risk prosecuting a constituent particularly when it is some staffer's incompetence at the root of the issue.

This is a prime example of why this country remains in the mess it is. These are the people running the country that couldn't be bothered to read and comprehend what was provided to them. They could not care less about their constituents once they reach office. Their primary goal at that point is getting donations and contributions from whomever, for whatever they can promise. Their votes, our laws and our country are all for sale to whomever will pay.
