TSA incompetence has no bounds. This is a perfect example of a zombie agency mindlessly following a protocol with no regard reality. This simply would not happen in a private sector business, there would have been special provision put in place after the first incident to prevent a recurrence and they would be particularly aware to avoid a repeat incident with the same passenger.
I’m looking forward to TSA shooting themselves in the foot again with their famous “……..we have reviewed the incident and stand behind the actions of the………in a respectful and dignified manner”. This only works in our favor. Nothing short of the complete elimination of TSA is acceptable.

Believe me, this rarely happens, but I am speechless.

Red and I have a relative who was hospitalized with MRSA a few years ago. We spoke with the infectious disease doctor who was on his case about transmittal of infections at checkpoints, especially infections to the feet, most particularly in diabetics. He replied that he felt that such was happening but that he couldn't prove.

Let them do stuff like this to my Father-in-law (he has a colostomy). There will be blood!

This is disgusting. He has now had this happen to him twice. When are the sheeple going to get it through their thick skulls that this abuse is rampant??

Let the bad news keep coming -- TSA's ineptitude is reaching a critical mass and they seem incapable of getting it under control.

Remember Tom Sawyer? When going through the TSA grope last year at DTW, Sawyer has his colostomy bag inappropriately touched by a TSA clerk, causing it to detach from it's housing, and spill the contents on him. Due to that, Sawyer had to travel home in urine soaked clothing..

Well, Surprise, Surprise.. It happened to Sawyer again. This time also at DTW!

Welcome to the world of the Keystone Screeners. It would be funny if it weren't so utterly humiliating to their victims, innocent Americans -- often sick or injured already -- who just want to continue their lives with semblance of normality & decency.

When I saw this story yesterday, I sent it to my entire mailing list. Most of them are clueless, but I keep plugging away. I know they remember the first time this man's urostomy bag was spilled, so they can't pretend.

And it will happen again, to somebody else, if it hasn't already and just not been reported. All of the retraining in the world can take place and the issue won't be corrected. One sure way to stop it is to let the TSA know it's employees can not deny constitutional rights to citizens and that they will be charged and prosecuted when they do.

TSA doing the right thing? You'd have better luck with teaching a rabid dog to not bite. TSA will eventually kill someone at the checkpoint due to either their criminal negligence or incompetence. Watch their training records vanish into thin air once that happens. They answer to no one and no one seems either willing or able to hold any of them responsible for even the most egregious behavior.
