I wish more media would make this effort:

NBC DFW: Armed Man Caught at DFW Airport

An armed man was taken into custody at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport Thursday morning.

The Transportation Security Administration confirms that at about 6: 45 a.m. the armed man was discovered during the security walk-thru process.

DFW Airport police got involved, as TSA agents do not have the authority to arrest.

NBC 5 contacted DFW Airport Public Safety for additional information, but we have not received a response.

We will update this story with more information as soon as we learn it.

don't push it. the media will then want to arm the TSA clerks. And the future Nadine Hayses won't simply be arrested and strip searched over applesauce, they'll be shot.

Easier to steal iPads when the original owners are transitioning to room temperature!

But that works both ways, and the freedom fluffers may themselves end up taking a dirt nap.

I do not see arming TSOs in a general sense anytime soon (or at all for that matter). Prospective armed TSOs would have to undergo the same battery of tests and certifications that any other LEO for the feds would, and many of our employees would be incapable of meeting some of the criteria set forth for that certification. The main point of contention would be the need for armed TSOs, there is not a ready and apparent need for an armed workforce en masse. The only type of situation I could see would be a limited number to cover the checkpoints that lack local LEO presence according to the regulations - and that would be none of them at this point. I do not see a situation where TSA arms TSOs at this time.

Nappy and Pissy would simply argue "exigent emergency" and pass out guns - just like they did with the X-ray scanners. It's patently obvious that the safety of the American public is not their chief goal.

After all, they've already got 60,000+ thieves, thugs, and morons on the payroll, not one of whom knows or cares what "honor" and "integrity" are.

Oh, I think 5 or 6 out of the 60,000 or so know what honor and integrity is, they just choose to not apply those principals to their actions.

That'd be the "...or cares..." contingent.
