Rutherford Institute Appeals Dismissal of Airline Passenger, Pilot Lawsuit Against DHS & TSA

“No American should be forced to undergo a virtual strip search or subjected to such excessive groping of the body as a matter of course in reporting to work or boarding an airplane when there is no suspicion of wrongdoing,” said John W. Whitehead, president of The Rutherford Institute. “To do so violates human dignity and the U.S. Constitution, and goes against every good and decent principle this country was founded upon.”

Hats off to him. He's been fighting this battle for a long time, as have we.

Thanks. It still drives me berserk to know that Americans are subject to "secret laws." How much more un-American does it get. Don't tell me, that's a purely rhetorical question!

I need to move to Australia & spend my days counting road kill.

Hey, we've got book stores, libraries, television, movie theaters and concerts now, Mike. Even the interwebs, intermittently, in some cities. ;)

:D Uh, yeah..., but as an alternative way to pass the time compared to 'counting road kill', Vegemite is (typically) way down the list... Unless you work at the Vegemite factory. ;)

What a horrible way to ruin a nice dream.

Other than my distaste for Vegemite, I'd fit right in. I even have four criminal ancestors who were transported to Australia, including a condemned horse thief, which should elevate my status amoung Australians.

Being a horse thief is far more respectable than being a TSA worker.

My ancestry includes several lines of thieves and squatters. :D

With that background, you have a future in the Australian Parliament. Which is less disgusting than counting road kill, but not by much. But the retirement benefits are better. :D

But I've never seen a place with as much road kill. Somebody HAS to count it, might as well be me.

Marsupials & cars apparently don't mix well.

If you've never seen the movie "Cane Toads," you're in for a treat.

Isn't "Marsupial mix" the Aussie version of Trail mix?

I don't think so, they just take this horrible stuff called Vegemite (which adulterates anything that comes into contact with it) and smear it on crackers, which they deceptively try to pass off a cookies so you thing you're going to get a treat.

What's really sick is that Australians actually think the whole hideous concoction IS a treat.

With regard to eating marsupials, 'roo is quite tasty. :)
