Fox News interviewed Senator Feinstein about National Security topics on Mother's Day.

Seems Senator Feinstein is very supportive of TSA and the TSA Grope Downs.

To cut to the portion of the interview concerning TSA and airport security jump to the 4 minute mark.

Nothing says 'Happy Mother's Day' like DiFi. I can't even bring myself to watch.
    Sorry (ex-)fellow Californians, this one's on you.:p

Feinstein has a very safe Senate seat, so she can blab all she wants about wanting more and heavier patdowns, whatever she means by "heavy". Maybe a type that's accompanied by heavy breathing. She's so all-fired concerned about one bombmaker that's never succeeded, on flights not originating in the US. On that weak basis, wants to grope crotches at will. Yet even she acknowledges the resistance this practice is raising up.

Here's a hint, Dianne. How about stop treating the rest of the world as US satraps and stop summarily executing people in foreign lands with your drones. That would probably go a long way to solving the problem. Your support of the continuing imposition of US empire directly assists in causing the threats we have.

She defends more groping while admitting the scanners she supported at $400K each don't really work.

Oh well, what's another $268 million in worthless devices. They may not do what they were supposed to do but get a nice picture of your butt.

Bill, she ran the Senate Intelligence committee. You don't get to sniff a plum job like that unless you're fully trusted by the big players in the defense community and industry. Her allegiance to those players is beyond question. She, like most of her fellow senators, do not even represent their own states anymore, so much money comes to them from outside the state. That's why the founders bound the senators to state interest by chaining them to the state legislature. So she's quite comfortable sitting there with her fat jowls extolling the virtues of being hand-raped by Dubai security guards. It is clear to me that this idiot, evil woman would support ANY measure of invasive search to make sure nobody was carrying an oriface bomb or surgically implanted bomb.

Need to leave out the political rambling about drones. I rather like them, although they do lack the close personal touch that a marine can deliver.

You're going to lose readers if you start using TSA News as a platform for left-wing anti-war rants, even more so when it's a sideshow to the main thrust of the article.

Tough (expletive deleted). They're related. To deny that is to deny reality.

In your imagination, yes. TSA News will go south quickly if you start piling on that stuff.

If you lose your focus, TSA News will cease to be meaningful.

Ground Report: Dianne Feinstein's Comments Not Fine with Many Americans

  14. I wish the people running for office as constitutional libertarians/conservatives could be as articulate as you are about this kind of stuff. Joe Miller up here brought up repealing the 17th amendment without a well-stated argument at one point and was brutalized and called a fascist for it. It's part of why he never recovered and ultimately lost the senate race.

Paul Roberts had an interesting take on this in an op-ed on the rockwell site: The Case of the Missing Terrorists

It's what we've noted to each other on this site quite often: there is a near infinity of easy, soft terrorist targets in the country, and easily reached political figures. The fact is that nothing has ever been attempted against them, and the threat is probably very low that they will be targeted. So why are the authorities so fixated on airplanes? Air traffic presents itself as a convenient wedge (people afraid of going boom at 30,000 feet) so that the security state can gain a foothold and then insert itself more broadly into American life.
It is beyond dispute that there is keen interest in some quarters in bringing about a highly, highly controlled society.
