    As I said in my comment on the article, this Senator is focusing on the wrong problem. If she wants to help the airline industry to recover and make flying more pleasant for customers, take everyone wearing a blue uniform and throw them out on the tarmac to hitchhike their asses home.

    Nope, it's just that your agenda isn't her agenda. Hidden & excessive bag fees are very much a consumer problem. However, I don't think her solution is necessary. Southwest already offers double what she wants free of charge, and the marketplace seems to be supporting Southwest over the legacies.

    Regulators & legislators should focus on disclosure & pricing practices to make the industry transparent, so the consumers can make informed purchasing decisions.
