    From the Arizona Republic:

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport authorities reopened part of Terminal 4 that had been evacuated Saturday morning due to an unattended item. Julie Rodriguez, an airport spokeswoman, said the item was left in the D Gate section of Terminal 4. "(Authorities) checked it out and cleared it ..." An airport employee who did not want to give his names said the Southwest Airlines concourse had been evacuated and that there was a large police presence on the ground investigating.

Just a thought: When Frontier starts trying to collect their $100 fees for carryons not paid in advance, will passengers start abandoning bags not worth $100?

Just think of all the disruptions that could be caused by dunning pax with cheap baggage for excessive fees!

This happens fairly routinely and after years of useless and costly panic not one bag has ever been anything other than an innocent oversight.
