I always knew STL was TSA cesspool. STL was where: 1. My wife was groped. 2. My wife was subjected to an illegal drug search when screeners spotted hypodermic needles (prescription) in her luggage. 3. A BDO made a point of getting in my face & trying to pick a fight with me. 4. A screener turned me over to the cops (in my pre-hearing aid days) for an illegal ID & warrants check because I replied too loudly to suit her fancy. STL is also where Ron Paul's treasurer was harassed & threatened for half an hour for carrying $4K in campaign contributions. If he hadn't had the foresight to record, he probably would have been up the creek. Instead, TSA ended up signing a consent decree with the ACLU, which TSA promptly managed to forget about. There was also a well publicized case (originally published in the St. Louis Post Dispatch/stltoday.com) of a woman being abused by TSA at STL, but I don't have time to locate it again just now. The screeners I've encountered at STL (where unfortunately we spent more time than anywhere else except MSP) have long exemplified the bullying, thuggish behavior that is endemic within TSA. It's now official -- The cesspool at STL meets TSA's highest standards for sewage: Airport World: Lambert-St Louis wins TSA security awards I'm not the least bit surprised.
