Strange Items in My Checked Baggage

  1. Is there going to be any kind of tizzy if, as I fly domestically out of PDX, I have owl pellets and assorted animal bones in my checked baggage? (A homeschool kid's gotta do science, you know?) It would be nice if I didn't have to ship them.

Cant see any reason why these things would be of concern but TSA screeners probably do not know what they are. Put them in a box with a label.

If "owl pellets" means what I think it means (owl poop?) do not, I repeat, do not label them. TSA baggage screeners may mistake them for yummy treats. :D (one can only hope...)

Owls reguritate pellets of undigestible material. Bones, fur, and such. They then tear the pellets apart and make nesting material.

Watch live momma owl raising babies.

So basically what you're saying is that owls live in their own :td:?

  7. We found the motherlode of owl pellets in my inlaws' old barn. I'm bringing back enough to share with all our friends! Owl puke for everybody! Great fun.
