One technological improvement in US government (for as opposed to against its citizenry) has been the Gov 2.0 data available online, most notably the ability to look-up contracts and grants etc., post-ARRA. A rough query showed me TSA has spent almost $3M on gloves in the last decade. Good thing the GOP wants to squeeze some blood out of the unemployed to help pay for those and far more costly toys.
$3 Million on gloves, $12 Million on their spiffy fake-police uniforms. Billions on the scanner boondoggle.
Perhaps we shouldn't make a fuss about the gloves. TSA will probably claim there is no need to change them between victims in order to save a buck or two.
