The Hill: Group launches mobile phone app for reporting TSA profiling
How about a mobile app for reporting all TSA misdeeds? Unfortunately, it would be so busy few people could get access.
I wonder if the disabled/medically fragile are included in "minority communities."
Report to who? Certainly no one in government cares that TSA is nothing but a bunch of thieves and perverts.
Neither does anyone in the TSA.
This is great. Hopefully they will take complaints of all sorts. If this is available to the public it could be come a national database for various TSA offenses at airports across the country.
I'd love to that data set after a year.
Maybe one of you tech-savvy people could set something up, whereby the reports show up at TUG in real time?
This keeps coming up in the news, best one recently:
Augusta Chronicle: Hands off our dignity: TSA agents stoop to frightening children in the name of safety
Politic 365: When Airports Get Racist, Get An App
I'm thinking the publics view of TSA is reaching critical mass. It's taken a long time to get here but I think we are very near the top of the mountain now.
I prefer to look at it from the vantage point of a sinking ship -- it's taking on water faster than the bilge pumps can remove it.
LRC Blog: Re: The TSA Is Like the Weather (Incredibly Wretched Weather, Say a Typhoon at the Very Least)
Whatever viewpoint I think enough of the public, media, and politicians are starting to realize they have a problem on their hands. Each group mentioned will have a different view of what is going on but the politicians know their jobs are on the line if the public rebels. So we need to hammer the politicians, especially the ones supporting TSA.
