Well apparently you can't leave. I asked them to close my account and thought it was done. Got an e-mail saying they don't close accounts if members request it!

Welcome justaperson! There's an easy way to have it done without your direct request, and you can have fun doing it. :D

I can imagine :) ... butI'm not going to log in there again...don't need more nastygrams and don't want to go there at doing something to get banned isn't going to happen. Besides, the years of internet drama are far behind me.

Kind of funny's like those cases where nudists show up at checkpoints and are arrested (or something). It OK for the TSA to undress and molest you, but if you want to do it on your own, that'll be a no go.

I hate administrators and their petty little bureaucratic minds. That mod really managed to miss the point big time. Protesting against sexual assault is 'not nice'. Committing it is fair play, I guess. Well, maybe they'll read it here. Maybe it doesn't matter.

Just a thought - did you want to repost your exact comment here verbatim (in a quote block or somesuch) for posterity? Or as an F-U to the censor-happy goose-stepper who admonished you for it?

It is pretty ridiculous what is going on over there. I do like CelticWhisper's idea, post it here.

If nobody's flying, FT has no advertising revenue. And the TSA has 60,000 slack-jawed thugs sitting around with nobody to grope.

The PM I got, the one which caused me to leave in disgust, said they had deleted many of my posts, and 'if I can't control myself I'll be suspended' or words to that effect. So the posts are gone. You may have read my posts, they were railing against the TSA guy's inability to string a coherent sentence together, at the same time as he was claiming he has a degree in 'security' and raving about how educated he was. And of course at the same time as he and the rest of his buddies can touch you wherever, whenever they feel like it. From tossing burgers to massaging your genitals. I don't go out of my way to correct grammar in other circumstances... :)

How many posts did you make? One guy with 8K posts once made some mods very unhappy by editing all his posts & turning them into blank posts. Same effect, just takes a little more time.

The posts on that one thread they deleted. When I saw that, I went and edited almost all my posts on FT, about 350, to 'deleted'. I did it for preservation of privacy, since I was leaving, didn't think of doing it to piss people off. Took over an hour.

I wonder what they'd do if someone edited all of their posts to the long form of "Eff the TSA."

That's brilliant. I'm a bit busy for that, but it sounds fun.

Just noticed that I also had some posts deleted in that same thread. No notes or email from the FT stasi.

She must have gotten her broom back from the shop.

Looks like doober was being really mean to the clerks -- she got herself suspended again. You're a bad, bad girl, doober. :D

Are you speaking of Bart, who I believe did it more than once.

The bolded part is an exact quote of my response to the "chew-toy" (aka, squeaker) mod at FT. That only got me banned for one month. I also asked them to remove my profile, but as far as I know I would still be able to log in to that site (not that I would ever want to)!

When did this happen? Doober doesn't remember when/where her last post was.

Doober knows why and she is banned for life. :D

That place is where the sensible dog won't even crap on.
Long story short, my death nail was when I posted a comment on how two quotes from the same self-proclaimed TSA screener not only conflicted with each other but was totally illogical.
The post was deleted and I was warned that if I posted again in the forum, I'd be banned.
    ....which means I AM
Whatever, if the mod can't be logical than I'm out and never going back.

I think the problem with not getting accounts deleted is that they're used for advertising calculations.

If the number of users drops, so will the advertising dollars. I believe that's why FT is so busy licking the collective gluteal cleft of the TSA.
