Ashley Yang - The Story of a Trans TSA Worker http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=9-4b69WD6pI This is just weird. Of course, TSA maintains that there is no sexual element to the screening process, so how does this fit with that position? [coached by Mike to embed the video]
Uh... Wow. So, the pat-down isn't sexual, therefore it is performed by a same gender "officer", and when a square peg doesn't fit in TSA's round hole, she's fired? There are so many things wrong with the way TSA handled this situation, and it is just one more clear indicator that the pat-down is, indeed, teetering on the verge of a sexual assault. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
For my part, I don't even care if it's a man or a woman who gropes me down. My anger with the TSA is their disgusting, traitorous prioritizing of safety (or, indeed, ANYTHING) over liberty. This is just more discrimination and mismanagement in an already unsalvageable organization.
Well call me biased but I would at least like to know what "real" gender the person is that is feeling me up.
