[Note from coaching staff -- I noticed in a recent article that the comments have since been updated to include the name of TSA's miscreant who detained her.]

Posters comments on YouTube (updated version):

This was inside the terminal at the Houston airport. I was not allowed to board a plane (even though I had already been through airport security) because I drank my water instead of letting the TSA "test" it. The TSA agent finally admitted that it wasn't because they thought I was a security risk-it was because the TSA agent, Louis Godeaux, was mad at me!

I was able to get on the very next flight out of houston-and even managed an upgrade! (thanks United)

Sorry for crappy phone video-but the audio is what I wanted to post.

I know this is not really news (it seems like the TSA is retaliating all the time against people), but it was a little satisfying to get that statement on video.

Now we know what happens if you refuse drink testing.

    So... who's surprised by this?

  3. I have to admit, I don't know why I'm still sometimes shocked by this stuff, but this one kind of boggles my mind. It's not the retaliation that's amazing to me, it's the stupidity. Everyone knows these tests are pointless, and screeners look totally asinine performing them. The lady drank her water rather than participate in such silliness, and she was punished. She was punished for drinking her water. Kafka and Beckett couldn't have thought this stuff up.

But what if she got on a plane and exploded?

    Think of the children!

Is there something I missed? Just wondering how you know she drank her water before they arrived and what ultimately happened to her?

  6. It's in the commentary on youtube. If you click the little "Youtube" icon in the lower right hand corner of the video you can see it.

Yes but nothing will happen to the TSA guy except pats on the back for following 'proper procedures' "with dignity and respect" and/or a bunch of sheep blaming the woman.
oh and maybe our resident rep might jump on to say that he has no knowledge of such incident but if it was his airport on his shift, it would have never happened-because at his airport on his shift, everything is puuuurfect.

I was able to find the video but for some reason I don't see it here. Could anyone offer a suggestion on what to check for?

What a fricken mistake creating TSA was. No accountability to anyone when they abuse the public.

I'm waiting for the day they try this on someone's cup of hot Starbucks coffee and it gets dumped over the head of the pedosmurf.

Doesn't McDonald's actually serve their coffee hotter than Starbucks?

Not going to make much of a difference, you're still going to have 2nd and 3rd degree scalp burns.

And that's only if the pissed-off passenger doesn't decide to go for the face.

... Damn Frank I want to see coffee that does third degree damage. All things considered there are things I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy ... Theft & Sexual Assault is the exception to that... Press on.

Anyone who’s been paying the slightest bit of attention already knows the TSA retaliates against passengers who don’t toe the line. The punishing gropes, the pawing of every single thing in someone’s luggage, the deliberate destruction of property, the detention in the glassed-in gulag — all these things have nothing to do with security, everything to do with punishment.
But for those of you who still don’t get it, we have this little bit of proof on tape. Uploaded by a passenger to YouTube on September 1, 2012, with the following text:

Downloaded this video for good measure, just in case they pressure YT into pulling it.

Remember, damage is a combination of temperature and time on contact, and the scalp is rather thin. Unless the pedosmurf has a crew cut or hippie hair, it's gonna hurt.

Might work, if their trousers are absorbent. If they are anything close to Dickies, though that might not have much of an effect until it fills their shoes.

This is true, hadn't thought about to the scalp... And the other damage & life threatening injuries that could be Game Over PDQ. That makes my head hurt thinking of that possibility. Although traditional 3rd degree burns everyone thinks of char-well skin, you are right on time & temp (these 36-48hr shifts stink).
