What really gets me is that my mom & her husband are planning on taking a cruise this spring, which means flying to the seaport. She's slowly been coming around as I've been keeping her updated on TSA's misdeeds but she's a true optimist and still somewhat in denial. I really don't like the thought of her being among the "one grope at a time" statistic but I think it may well come to that. Most likely it's going to be a case of a "resolution" grope after she gets scanned, which is going to shatter that denial because she is the kind of person who thinks "cooperate and everything's fine." This will last exactly as long as, like Lisa said, it hasn't happened to her. Getting groped in spite of saying OK to scanning should be able to hammer home just how capricious and corrupt every TSA employee really is.

What sucks is that it'll put me in the perfect position to say "I told you so." And that'll be a day when I won't want to.

CW, well, I used to believe that saying "I told you so" was uncalled-for and counterproductive. Not anymore. I have a powerful reserve of schadenfreude stored up. Powerful. I've had to take so much crap from family and friends over this, from the clueless and ignorant, from cowards and ethical defectives. I damn well will say "I told you so."

    Same here.
Though I word "I told you so" in a different way such that they don't realize that's what I'm saying. People general shutdown or fall into stubborn denial with the exact phrase "I told you so."

This will be happening more often with the rollout of the Gumby cartoon software for the Nude-O-Scopes; more gropes will be necessary to resolve what the software thinks it sees. The TSA has really dug a hole for itself.

And millions of people are happy to climb in there with it.
