    You knew it was coming.
The impact on the legion of TSA employees used to argue for more funds at the trough.

This will be good news when/if it happens.

    From the article linked above:
    • Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will be forced to eliminate 7,240 security officers
    • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) could lose 2,200 air traffic controllers, technicians and support staff
    • Immigration and Customs Enforcement would see ... more than 930 special agent jobs could be eliminated
    • Border Patrol might lose 3,400 agents—or 16 percent of its force—and another 3,400 customs officer jobs might be eliminated
In those four agencies alone, I count 17,170 mouths that will lose their federal teat and will have to seek sustenance elsewhere!!!!

At this point I'm not so sure that not getting a budget passed this year would be a bad thing.

We have a significant number of federal legislators and a president that don't understand that spending is the root problem and only by cutting back spending, or cutting off in some cases, is the only path forward that allows all of us to emerge some many years down the road in better fiscal shape.

Continuously raising taxes is not going to solve the problem.

These folks raise tax rates then wonder why tax revenue falls. Their solution: Raise the tax rates again.

    What's the definition of insanity?

exactly. the problem is that not enough private money is circulating around the private economy generating investment and jobs. Their solution is to keep removing private moneys.
