TSA brings body scanners to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport

    Maybe this is where the old BKSX scanners are going. These were supposed to get replaced with MMW.

    Backscatters? Why are they still deploying backscatters in new installations? Creeps. Quite possibly the machines they are removing from major airports? People are being viewed naked under their clothing by some pervert in a side room and getting cancer to boot. Insane.

    I suspect TSA is taking the backscatters out of high volume airports and moving them to the small airports so the PR disaster is mitigated a bit.

    Bottom line for any smart person is to avoid all TSA Strip Search Machines regardless of type. Opt Out's make TSA fluffers work and gums up the checkpoints.

    Nico still omits the simple fact that the BKSX scanners do not detect explosives...
