The source is Alex Jones, a gentleman I tend to take with a grain of salt. That being said:

APCs and reeducation camps can be mostly dismissed as hyperbole. Yeah, some PDs are getting APCs and other military toys but, so far, I have yet to see a tank with a bunch of pedosmurfs riding on it. The day I do, I'll probably die laughing as they steer it right off a bridge into the Hudson River. Dumb shits.

However, the other stuff regarding hiring people with predispositions to abuse, authoritarianism and, yes, sociopathy/psychopathy, I do believe. We've seen signs of it for a long time and given that they have the audacity to actually hang a banner with "Dominate. Intimidate. Control." written on it in their air marshal training HQ, I'm more than willing to believe they're actively seeking out people with antisocial tendencies to staff their checkpoints.

The psychopaths and sociopaths are at the top, that's why they hire who they hire. Just check the statements coming out of Janet Napolitano' and Pistole's mouths: "The public is getting used it" , "Comply or don't fly" and so forth. They are criminals and jackals. And they will be looking over their shoulders forever. Out of the millions they abuse, you never know which one is going to crack up, but the odds are not in their favor. They will be assailed by the same fears and doubts that all tyrants end up having. As long as they live.

How did that go again? I can never remember...

...Oh, yes, that was it. "Sic semper tyrannis."

These are often people who can't get hired anywhere else for whatever reasons -- personality disorders, utter lack of qualification or just extremes of stupidity -- so they end up answering ads on gas pumps & pizza boxes.

The junior college training program that they keep making such a big deal about -- three courses in "homeland security" that a large percentage can't complete -- really underscores how low they're scraping for recruits.

What this whistle-blower says confirms my suspicions. The TSA is deliberately selecting people who are comfortable committing boundary violations. The TSA looks for petty crooks because they want the mentality of a petty criminal, but can't risk hiring people who will immediately raise red flags with the general public and local law enforcement.

The DHS recruits petty criminals and indoctrinates them into the TSA gang, giving them an identity, a turf and a steady supply of victims to abuse with impunity. The TSA is thug nirvana.

  7. This is similar to the Stalinist strategy Solzhenitsyn outlined in Gulag Archipelago. They deliberately mixed hardened criminals in with the regular folk zeks -- dissidents and people who just said the wrong thing or got ratted out by their neighbors for nothing -- so that the criminals would terrorize the folks, steal their stuff and manipulate them, and generally keep them docile and submissive.

I'll have to look but I'm not sure if he said anything about the type of person they hired for the job of "blue cap" inspector, who processed the prisoners along the way and stole any cool stuff they happened to have with them. But it would seem obvious those people were deranged as well.

ETA: Alex Jones is a total nut, but he's right an alarming amount of the time.

I like knowing Janet Napolitano's political career is over. I'm thinking Pistole may as well retire too.

Given that we have proof not only of "Dominate. Intimidate. Control." but also of the fact that they used Islamophobic materials in their training for a long time (still?), this doesn't surprise me. There are also many ways to get across to people that you expect them to lord their authority over others besides telling them outright, "Be bullying" or "Be abusive."

As we've already discovered, the turnover at the TSA is very high. People who object to assaulting other people quit, employees who have to endure a hostile environment in and of itself quit, etc. Over time, you're left with the worst. With people who get off on mistreating others. And even those who don't, in other circumstances, get off on it, learn to do it.

But as I've said before, with the economy in bad shape and not likely to get better, I'm afraid the TSA is going to have a steady stream of recruits. And again as I've said, giving these jobs to war veterans, who've been ill-used and abused by this country, is a recipe for disaster.

P.S. What's an "APC"? Do you mean armored personnel carrier? If so, those are, in fact, being bought up by police departments all over the country. But you already know that. So this must mean something else. ?

I did mean armored personnel carrier. I think I somehow missed the prevalence of them, though. I knew about the one in Tampa, FL but I didn't realize that that many police departments were acquiring them. I thought the TPA one was a one-off demo unit or pilot program for military hardware reallocation.

Oh, no. They're all over the place. Even Berkeley! There've been several threads here at TUG over the past year about all the military hardware domestic PDs are larding up on. Busy now, or I'd go pull them all up and post here. Suffice to say the APC stuff is far from hyperbole.

I have been reading claims from applicants for TSA positions as far back as 2004 about bizarre questions on the application forms. The applicants claim they were asked questions about how long they held a grudge and whether they thought revenge was morally acceptable. Many of the applicants thought the questions were more than a bit creepy. None of the applicants who reported answering no to these two questions received a return interview.

Maybe the TSA really has been deliberately and systematically selecting screeners with anti-social traits. I figured they just ended up with morally deranged employees because decent people were repelled by the job. If the TSA has been systematically looking for sociopathic employees, there's got to be a paper trail.

These application questionnaires would be a good place to start.

anyone have a copy of that application, if thats the case on some of the questions that would be some good dirty laundry to air out in the media local, national and international.

  17. It shouldn't be that hard to get an application. Maybe it's changed, though.

Any bets they'll claim it's "SSI?"

SSI is not a recognized clearence level. Its made up since most smurfs couldnt pass a security clearence check to save their life.

You mean just like the Comment/Complaint card? Yeah I have scanned and made my own for a while now.
