Because he was already proven/convicted/arrested(your choice) of being a terrorist. All of his rights were determined void at that time, and his personal property seized for improper destruction.
I wonder where on the TSA website it says that your bags may be detonated as part of the screening process? Do you consent to this too when you buy an airline ticket?
That would be the ultimate bad day at the checkpoint, get scanned, get groped, toss in a private screening, blow up you bag then eject you from the airport. All in the name of safety of course.
TSA screeners will know they have found a bomb when it goes off at the checkpoint.
