One down, 534 more to go.
Nothing the TSA does is "essential," "necessary," or working toward ensuring "air travel is safe."
The TSA exists to make the sheeple feel like something is being done to protect them while effectively separating them from their belongings to be pilfered by thugs as they're groped by perverts.
I'm surrounded by idiots, the comment one coworker tossed out this morning on the issues was "What? Rand Paul thinks he above the law and doesn't have to go through security?"
To which I can only slam my office door shut.
I'm sure that's the sentiment all over the country and all over the blabbosphere. That's why I'm not even reading the various news accounts and commenting, cause I know it'll just get me steamed.
Okay, I made an exception for the article at The Hill. Best comment there so far is by Richard Carpenter:
Just wow, Where do I even start to rip that 'Dick Crap' guy apart?!!
I believe this story is EXACTLY where we need to make our voice heard, to articulate the reply, (not not with useless banter with TSA trolls). Link to the crimes etc.
What gets me steamed are ACLU types that will vote for this Administration supporting the TSA. Take your pick, chumps.
If it's any consolation, comments are pretty virulently anti-TSA on this one too. Not saying you should deliberately stress yourself out, but you can rest assured that people aren't buying TSA's line of (expletive deleted).
Plus, our fellow TUGgers have been contributing per usual to set the record straight.
I don't understand. You do realize he's being sarcastic, don't you?
Oh, here's another great one:
Err no I didn't. soory. I'm just irritated with the clueless people around me who miss the big issues. I'm on a short fuse.
"“Probably a matter of semantics,” Paul said. “I was told not to leave a cubicle and when I did step outside the cubicle I was sort of surrounded and put back in the cubicle. Seems a little bit like I was being detained. But when they got tired of detaining me, they evicted me. And then I was told to leave. I think I would have been arrested had I not done what I was told,” Paul said."
Nah, TSA don't detain people...
Grab a loaner magnum & do some housecleaning.
Sure sounds like detention to me. He should get the surveillance tapes.
So, this Senator gets what the rest of us get EVERY single day, and it's front page news across the nation?
I'd be very interested to see if they try pulling the "we lost the tapes" bit with him.
And not go "SSI" instead?
This may die quietly in the media but I bet the Senator is going to be pushing this behind the scenes for some time to come.
