TSA Detains Rand Paul

Discussion in 'Aviation Passenger Security in the USA' started by CelticWhisper, Jan 23, 2012.

  1. Well, they did pick exactly the wrong senator to mess with. I wonder if he told them he was a senator or not? Would be interesting to hear all the finer details of his interaction and detention.

I'm no attorney, but it certainly seems to fit the legal definition of kidnapping in a number of jurisdictions - moreso if the blue-shirted goons do it for the purpose of separating someone from their possessions so that they can steal stuff (facilitating the commission of a felony.)

Either/or. Given that he's a MOC and is on the Fatherland Security committee, they'd have to be utterly brainless to screw with him like that.

...Which is exactly why I think they'll do it.

...which is why most of them are TSA employees.

I still think that the "anomaly" was his spine. They're just not used to seeing them, and they don't have any on staff to compare with.

The noise from individual encounters dies, but overall the crescendo keeps increasing.

If he's smart, he'll see the popularity of this, and keep it in the news.

My kudos to the senator. The TSA sure picked the wrong man to hassle! Just no common sense extant at the TSA.

If you get Fox Business Channel on your cable/satellite, he'll be on Andrew Napolitano's Freedom Watch tonight, 8 PM EST, 7 PM CST, etc.
  10. This is crazy:

Which is not even remotely what happened, by anyone else's account. Why didn't Carney just say he didn't have all the details yet? It's like they really do have a boiler plate response to any TSA complaint scenario. And it went on the fritz with this one, like it did with the granny strip-search one.

He just said on Freedom Watch that the TSA kept him in a cubicle for an hour and a half. Sounds like detention to me.

What's the over/under on the video of Senator Paul's detainment getting "lost" or the cameras "malfunctioning?"

Is that a variation on "Vote from the rooftops"? :D

Find another sucker. They are that stupid. The only person stupider at the moment is the NYPD cop who sent a Navy SEAL to the nuthouse for saying he was a SEAL.

I didn't post an update yet, but the TSA say they have no camera feeds from when they illegally detained me. Which is funny, because I remember waiving to their camera on my way out. :)

According to some TSO's the MMW ATR scanners have a problem with zippers and show an "anomaly" at the zipper location. It's like a bad joke.

Was he in the glass penalty box like Stacey Armato?

Problem at the knee? Let's take a look.
    And so he was punished.
They kept him in the clear cage to be duly humiliated, and to miss his flight.

The Ron Paul army has been mobilized. Up until now, it has been difficult to get as many signatures on something as there are dollars going toward an end-the-TSA money bomb:

KrazyKat - that's pretty much kidnapping /unlawful detainment to me. Sounds like some asses need to be cuff and goose-stepped to jail in public.

    Yes it is.

Hey I always thought there should be a political hunting season. Just buy the stamp (sliding scale based on level/position) and bag the politico.

Hey it's like AT&T "reach out and touch someone" long-bangstick edition.
