thanks for the clarification. If I were a motherboard, I'd be rated at 2.3 GHz, no memory...

As much as I hate what these people are doing to us, and as much as I might, at an emotional level, want them to pay dearly for what they do, no human being needs to go through the turmoil of cancer when it was acquired so needlessly. The rank and file, of course, are not the sharpest knives in the drawer, but the folks on up the ladder either know what you've posted, or could and should acquire this information, if they cared. They are consigning their employees to this fate for no reason other than protecting their own necks. They should replace these devices immediately with MMW and they know it, but do not want to face up to their own screwup in acquiring those machines.
Clearly they chose backscatter because it is a better nudie scanner than MMW, which tells me they thought they would prevail with the public on the nude scans. They gambled and lost, and as it turns out, the backscatter machine was inferior to MMW as an ATR machine, and in fact, appears to be unusable for ATR....

Thank you for this discussion. This clears up some questions I had about the backscatter machines.

As I was famously told by the sponsor of different study, "If we can't control the numbers, we're not paying for it."

Maybe aztony should consider getting a real job and out of the TSA. There's a higher probability of "happiness" there, unless aztony is one of the many pedophiles working for the TSA and simply wants to enjoy groping people without the risk of being constantly irradiated.

He's a paid blogger, by a criminal organization, nothing he says can be taken at it's word, NOTHING! On top of that, he's a sorry POS, so he has that going for him!

Blogger Bob works for the TSA. Calling him a liar is redundant after that.

Seems Blogger Bob isn't going to take any comments on his blog post, at least so far.

If I were him I would be getting a bit gun shy too. Of course he has earned ever little bit of the disdain shown him.

Darned right he's earned it. I'm quickly coming to the same conclusion about him that I did John Pistole, namely that the world will be a better place when he's gone. Largely because he doesn't have to hang around and lie to Americans. So he must do it because he likes assisting, in any way he can, with attacking Americans rights and dignity, especially those of the elderly and special needs people.

I just wrote another letter to the representatives in Washington that deserted their posts. It is asinine that I have to spend so much of my time contacting them, almost babysitting them on the issues around us. It's just incredible, they take a large portion of that which I work hard for, and then they take a portion for themselves, in return for doing nearly nothing, and then they manage to waste the majority of what is left. Some of which goes to pay the waste of oxygen that is BB to get fatter in his cubicle while lying to us ever more.

I lost all faith in my senators when I told them, in no uncertain terms, that TARP was a bad idea and I would be paying attention to their vote. They voted in favor of it anyway. At least my representative voted for it, and then gave a very good explanation as to why he did. While I didn't agree with him, I think he did the right thing.

Time and again, the letters, the phone calls, the emails pour in, and they do whatever the lobbyists tell them. It's disgusting.

I agree, and that's the main reason that this country is in the hole that it is in. The leeches in Washington only care about how much money they make. Look at SOPA, that horrendous piece of legislation would have passed, even with the overwhelming majority of web savvy people contacting their reps. to speak out against it. It took the money and vocal support of other big companies/corporations to diminish the support. The (expletive deleted) stooges, Leahy, Smith and Conyers collected nearly 3/4 of a million dollars from the movie and tv industry to introduce and support the industry written legislation. How can you and I as citizens get them to listen to us? I guess I could cash out my 401k and sell my house, but that wouldn't get real support from any of mine, because they would know I am then broke. We can all thank the Supreme Court for their decision 2 years ago for effectively screwing the average American.
