A former Transportation Security Administration officer is facing sentencing this week for accepting cash in exchange for allowing illegal prescription painkillers to pass through airport security without detection. Christopher Allen of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., is scheduled to be sentenced Friday in New Haven. He pleaded guilty in April to extortion and receipt of a bribe.​

 

Wall Street Journal: Ex-TSA Officer Faces Bribery Sentencing

A former Transportation Security Administration officer is facing sentencing this week for accepting cash in exchange for allowing illegal prescription painkillers to pass through airport security without detection. Christopher Allen of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., is scheduled to be sentenced Friday in New Haven. He pleaded guilty in April to extortion and receipt of a bribe. Authorities say Mr. Allen accepted cash from a trafficker to ensure the trafficker would not be stopped by TSA officers as he carried oxycodone pills through airport security.​

 

The dealer behind all this (Bruce Yazdzik) has been given a 10-year prison sentence. He's unlikely to be lonely given that several of his TSA chums are already in the clink.

Perhaps while he's in prison he can take some homeland security courses by correspondence and start a new career when he's released.

I sure hope he ends up in general population and they find out he's former TSA. He'll get cop treatment without having the defense training cops get.

That's classic. Perhaps if that was streamed in all TSA work spaces 24/7 the TSA Thieves, Thugs, and Perverts would find other things to do.
