Another example of illegal interference with photography at the airport.

Just another load of false statements.
It is inspiring (in the sarcastic way) to see that the clerk has absolutely no idea.... and he can't grasp the concept of SOP !

    Will they ever understand?

No. An inability to grasp basic facts and common sense is a prerequisite to working for the TSA, along with an ability to issue bald-faced lies.

A three striper or STSO. Supervisor. Probably the most senior person at that checkpoint.

A TSA employee who should know that recording is ok according to TSA HQ.
A TSA employee who is responsible to monitor the performance of other TSA employees.
A TSA employee who apparently failed to retain the extensive TSA training TSA claims is given to all employees.

A TSA employee who should be fired for incompetence.

According to the YT tags this happened at Spokane Int'l Airport in Spokane, WA. I posted a comment asking for verification. Once received, I think it'll be #3 in a trifecta of Congressional letters (USAF colonel, "because of your attitude", and Fatty No-Taping here).

people have the IQ they were born with. no fault there on the possessor. unfortunate that such a low one has this kind of authority. the fault lies with those who employed this guy and gave him this kind of authority.

    Is the clerk wearing lipstick?

Please, no lipstick on a pig wise cracks. :p

Not sure about lipstick, but looking at the clerk a little more, it looks vaguely inbred.

I would venture to guess: Kool-Aid stains. ;)

I wonder if that TSA employee ever considered that I could stand at the checkpoint pretending to talk on my BlackBerry Tour while shooting video, and other phones will do live streaming.

Would it matter? Expecting a group like the TSA to actually perform security procedures consistently is like going to the Humane Society, picking a dozen dogs at random from the adoption kennels, and then trying to get them to race the Iditarod.

Think you will have a better chance going with the dogs.

Imagine a sled harnessed to two American Bull Terriers, a Standard Poodle, a Golden Retriever, three Yorkies, a Mexican Hairless, a Bichon Frise, a Doberman Pinscher, a Greyhound, two Shih-Tzus, and a handful of Chihuahuas...

That sled's not going anywhere. Much like the TSA.

But that pack of dogs would make a lot of noise, and pee and poop on everything.

    Just like the TSA :eek::p

I wonder if this occurred before the Senate hearings where Hatch and Leahy ripped into Napolitano?

Regarding photography I think Leahy said it best:
Mr. Leahy said when he’s patted down sometimes other passengers going through screening will take out their cell cameras to photograph the spectacle of a senator being screened, and TSA employees will tell them photos are against the law.
There is no such law,” Mr. Leahy said.

I wonder if the Youtube video can be forwarded such that Mr. Leahy can view it.

If Leahy has a public E-mail account, the link can be sent to him. Failing that, snail-mail with the URL would work as long as he takes care to type it in exactly (as YT's URL structure includes gibberish).
