This article is a departure from other stories on the sequester in that it adds a synopsis and graph of TSA screener count vs. number of passengers from 2005 through 2011. Scroll to bottom for graph. http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/341648/tsa-sequester-doomsday-scenario-not-likely-andrew-stiles The graph illustrates the labor implications and inefficiencies of the scope and grope policies. The increased screener to passenger ratio has increased the relative cost and would be even worse if air travel returns to 2007 levels.
That's too bad. Very few things would make me happier today than to know that a lot or all of the TSA's employees got screwed.
I wouldn't wish bone cancer on all of them. The ones that actually deserve that are few in number. Pilonidal cysts and/or kidney stones, maybe.
I just want TSA clerks to be treated as badly as they have abused the public. Every hour of every day. If I had a store I would demand ID before they could enter and then random screenings as long as they remained on my property. Can't be to careful ya know!
This just up on tsastatus.net: I bet we see deliberate logjams at the checkpoints starting tomorrow, with thousands standing around cracking jokes about it. Can't believe I have to fly next week.
I have another trip scheduled for April. That's when the real cutbacks begin unless our prima donna electeds get off their fat asses and do their fricking jobs. But I don't mind seeing government employees (TSA) taking a hit in the pocket although checpoint theft will likely go up.
I wonder if they were doing pat downs on people going through WTMD (which is all that ABE has) as was reported several days ago.
A "fluffer" is supposed to keep the star erect. I've yet to see any TSA employee who doesn't immediately evoke the opposite response from anyone lacking certain paraphiliac tendencies.
Rule 34, Caradoc, Rule 34. The Internet is a harsh and unyielding mistress, but her justice is blind. Also, vomit fetishists.
Rule 34 is why I mentioned "certain paraphiliac tendencies." Emetophilia isn't a fetish - it's a paraphilia.
Has sequester met the TSA Blog and the Boob? The blog won't load for me this morning. Oops, must have been my computer. Darn it!
