I think "Gate Rape" is both hilarious and associates to something horrifying but on-topic.
The other Mod you spoke of should consider the effect of a TSA hand-job on Kets like me, who have survived said events.

Rush talked about TSA today and it sure wasn't very favorable to TSA. It is spreading.

TRANSLATION: "GET READY FOR FURTHER ABUSE." And "WE CAN TELL YOU WHATEVER WE WANT, WE CAN MAKE UP WHATEVER (expletive deleted) WE WANT, FROM 'UNNAMED SOURCES,' AND WE KNOW YOU'LL FALL FOR IT."
Can cavity searches be far behind? Who cares. Given most Americans' complacency so far, they deserve what they get.

    Who are the terrorists?:
Section 802 of the U.S. Patriot Act, titled “Definition of Domestic Terrorism,” provides several definitions of domestic terrorism, including this one:
“The term `domestic terrorism’ means . . . activities that appear to be intended to intimidate or coerce a civilian population.”

KrazyKat, yep. The TSA is a terrorist organization. It terrorizes people every day.

Janet's Preflight Exploratory Surgery Clinics coming soon to a theater / airport near you. Gloves changed weekly. Franchises are available.

If you flunked out of BDO school, there will be exciting new opportunities for TSOs to specialize in anesthesiology and shanking.

A sheeple speaks -- from the NYT article's comment thread:

The problem here is that Americans on American soil just don't understand the psyche of a terrorist. The goal is simply to blow up the innocent. This really doesn't surprise me in the least.
As for more invasive searches -- I welcome them. I welcome profiling, I welcome interviews, and I welcome pat downs. As Americans, we are lucky to have choices. We can fly and be subjected to invasive security measures OR we can drive, take the train, or walk.

I think we may need to go correct Mr. Mark B.

Mike, don't worry, hundreds of people are doing just that. The vast majority of commenters are calling the TSA on its (expletive deleted). I already posted a comment a while ago, but there are so many coming in, it hasn't shown up yet. This is one time when common sense is prevailing over fear mongering.

It is quite true that the majority of the terrorists at the US airports are easily identified by the blue shirts they wear. Only terrorists I've ever met worked infested dark areas of the airports.

Might have found the best nickname for them Choad (from Tripping the Rift - Sci-Fi channel cartoon).
