I posted in another thread here that a work colleague reported machines being removed from DCA (MMV type) and PIT (backscatter). Neither is participating in the trusted traveler experiment. In addition, a poster on "the other board" reported actual day 1 experience in ATL that did not involve an AIT machine. It was baggage x-ray and WTMD only.

I missed the thread here. I read the thread at the other place but must have overlooked mention of TSA Strip Search Machines being removed.
I would wonder why they are being removed for starters but even one less TSA Strip Search Machine is a good thing.
I do not believe that TSA will do way with them.

Wasn't an article. Reports on TUG & FT

Found it. No confirmation of any WBI being removed. I hope they are being removed but more likely being relocated to other areas.

What needs to be removed is Nappy and Pissy for starters, neither of those people (I use that term loosely) should be in a position of responsibility.

...immediately followed (or preceded, I don't care as long as it happens) by the removal of every last one of their underlings, including anyone willing to put on a blue shirt and tin badge after October 2010.
