Just some?! How soon before another groper/pervert is arrested for child porn?

This is great, a busy Sunday. I just had to send a second email to my reps with this information. The timing is perfect to go with the next possible pedophile in employ of the TSA.

Statistically speaking I suspect there have been some stories this year that have been suppressed. Based on last years numbers, they are averaging one screener arrest very six days. There haven't been any new reports in six to eight weeks meaning that there either will be a spate of arrests, a couple cases involving multiple screeners, like the JFK thefts last year or TSA will be successful pressuring media outlets to ignore these stories and they will get out later after they are no longer current.

I doubt that attempting to hide these reports will prove to be a viable long term strategy given the competitive news climate.

I was just wondering about this. With this many stories leaking out, there must be more. Suppression may be one reason, but I think some TSA workers have just not been caught yet.

It'd be really great to have a rolling FOIA request for 'number of arrests per month' or something like that. I know they'd fight the requests tooth and nail, but it would still be illuminating to see.

Do you have e-mail addys for your reps or do you need to go through their "interweb" page? I'd love to get a direct addys and save myself time when I write to them.

On another note, I've found pages with info on Congresscritters' aides in the past but have found info on those pages to not be current. What's the best place to find info on congressional staff?

    TIA

Unfortunately I don't have their direct addresses, just their webpage contact email.

All official email addresses are through the house.gov/senate.gov websites, they can't be sent directly. There have been a few changes recently, such as allowing those outside the district to send an email to a MoC. Some have also added separate links to email addresses outside of the federal system which can be sent like any other email.

A reminder of the scum staffing the checkpoints just in time for the holiday travel season.

Name names, please! This thread has been sitting here for eight months and I had trouble finding it to add an update because nobody mentioned the name of the pervert in question: Michael Scott Wilson.

Including things like names of key actors also help search engine users find our information.

It's also a good idea to work it into the thread title (will add)

Good point. I knew the thread was here but couldn't find it using his name. Child pornography brought back hits but not this one.

I found it by selecting all threads with the "Arrested TSA Employee" prefix and looking for "child porn" in the titles.

In terms of Google rankings, if a subject is expressed in the URL (XF titles are translated directly to the URL's), it tends to rank higher, in general one should prioritize what goes into the title, usually name of perp is most important.

Once I've tagged all the old threads, tag searches will help, too, but that's months away.

Two years seems to be a very short sentence for this crime. Another candidate for the city square necktie party!

Slick! I've been using Intelius & occasionally U.S. search, but this returns home addresses & phone numbers. Intelius does help out w/ names of relatives, which has proved useful on my perverted teachers site (e.g. showing relationships to others in school or governement administration that he local media were glossing over).

Just a reminder, however, that home addresses & phone numbers are not to be posted here. With very few exceptions, we don't go off on that tangent.

Posting business addresses & phone numbers is just fine! :)

Michael Scott Wilson, who worked for the TSA at Baltimore-Washington International Airport until he was arrested a year ago on child pornography charges, and about whom we wrote here, has just been sentenced.
The 42-year-old was sentenced to two years in prison and 15 years of supervised release when he gets out. Favorite line in the news story:
Wilson was suspended without pay by the TSA upon his arrest, prosecutors said, and he has not worked there since.
Gee, really? Can’t imagine why. They have no problem employing Thomas Harkin. Or any of the other criminals listed here or here.

I know that posting a perp's address creates liability issues but find it ironic that the local (Baltimore) TV station did a report at the time of the original arrest and showed the front of his house and interviewed his neighbors. I instantly recognized the street since I had a friend who used to live nearby and given the locale, Perry Hall, it would have been easy to narrow him down based on the townhouse community and age of the houses.

Of course showing the address of his next door neighbor would have been an obvious clue.

In a some other forums I often (when time permits) dredge up & post property tax info and street view photos of miscreants homes. I don't have issues with that per se as long it's not accompanied by any threats.

Originally I allowed them to be posted but there were a couple "Founding Members" who were very (shall we say) "enthusiastic" with regard what they'd like to see done with that information. In reality "Founding Member" status just indicates when they joined (week #1, before any public announcement) but that status might easily be misconstrued. After one especially exuberant expression of feelings, I decided it was better to disallow the posting of home addresses & phone numbers rather than to otherwise stifle their enthusiasm. The exchange is still public if anyone cares to find it and read it.

I always hate it when TV crews go knocking on doors to sandbag some poor slob who's already being hammered in the headlines. That's done solely for thrills and ratings and serves no useful journalistic purposes.
