Is it possible to increase the space between the Inbox, Alerts and Log Out widgets in the upper left? There appears to room to increase the space without hurting the aesthetics of the site. On a mobile device I am repeatedly fat fingering the Log Out widget when I meant to hit the Alerts widget.

Sorry, I avoid custom mods whenever possible.

Personally (I've been using Xenforo since ~January when RP started his new site) I find Alerts rather useless and just let them accumulate until they're recycled. The Inbox (much more useful) has a similar issue on mobile devices. In choosing a link from the tiny popup, you have a 2nd chance to fat-finger something and often do.

This site is on Release 1 (actually 1.02) of XF, which has only been out in non-beta since mid-spring. Hopefully they'll have a proper mobile version one of these days.

Does XF have an "ignore" function? It's pretty much the only thing I'm feeling nostalgic for from "that other site."

    I believe it's in 1.04. TUG is on 1.0.2.

I will check. It will depend mainly on whether the add-ons (new user notification & invites system) are compatible. I do have 3 other boards on 1.0.4, but they don't (yet) use those add-ons.

The "ignore" option is expected in release 1.1 (not 1.0.4), which is supposed to be out by the end of the "British summer", which reportedly means by Halloween. Given that schedule, TUG might see it in November.

1.1 is also rumored (unconfirmed) to include a mobile skin. No promises!

Excellent as I plan to use it as I did at the other place.

    What's a mobile skin?

    Oh, Doober, you're so cute!

You'll be better able to use TUG on your smartphone!

    Better start practicing! :D

A skin changes the appearance of something, e.g. an internet application. A mobile skin changes the appearance to facilitate usage on mobile devices with small screens.

I do agree about hitting log-out when I am on TUG through my iPhone. However, it also happens to me on other travel related sites that utilize the same forum software.
