Were James Stewart's Civil Rights Violated in Jail ?

    It will be a while before the truth is sorted out. In the meantime, here's an early report.

    Essentially, he may have been held without benefit of counsel, physically abused and subjected to unsanitary conditions.

    It also seems to be another account of a prisoner subjected to hypothermia while being detained. How prevalent has this become in the U.S?

    Very prevalent. Torture routinely goes on in American prisons.
