Anyone else find that the comments at that Bloomberg story have disappeared, or is it just on my screen? A few hours ago there were 3 comments, including mine. Now there are none.

Email I just sent to the reporter and editor:

To contact the reporter on this story: Julie Bykowicz in Washington at jbykowicz@bloomberg.net
To contact the editor responsible for this story: Bernard Kohn at bkohn2@bloomberg.net

Dear Ms. Bykowicz and Mr. Kohn:

Several readers, including those of us at Travel Underground, left comments yesterday at the above-linked article and are curious why they have now disappeared. In fact, there are now no comments at this article at all. Can you tell us why these comments have been removed? Has Bloomberg changed its policy on comments? Thank you for whatever light you can shed.

Just keep in mind that a claim to be "looking into this" is the most common lie from the TSA, too - followed immediately by "We looked into that, and our employees correctly followed procedures." Depending on just how much TSA (expletive deleted)-kissing has been going on, the stupidity may have been infectious.

I sent a similar email to her and I got a reply indicating that someone else had brought this to our attention this morning, the tech team is looking into it, and she would get back to me. I'll post a note here if I hear more.

Yes, see the response I got from editor Bernard Kohn posted above. So far, no new word.

So it really wasn't Bloomberg deleting the comments? Likely story.

Why does this sound strangely similar to something Pistole would say?

I could almost hear his voice when reading Kohn's response. ............shivvers.......
